Mechanics for PaSaporTEK

There will be four identified Science Communities involved in PaSaporTEK: the Quezon City SC, Manila SC, Bicutan SC, and Los Banos SC. Participating tour operators must carry an identification banner or poster on the windshields of their buses, which can be downloaded at the official NSTW website
In each Science Community, participating PaSaporTEK buses shall be directed to designated parking areas by assigned marshals for the period 25-29 July 2016 for the NSTW.
Upon the arrival of each PaSaporTEK bus, an assigned marshal shall approach the tour bus operator, who must present manifest of passengers attesting to the identity and attendance of passengers in the bus. The marshal shall validate and countersign the forms, after which the marshal will check the individual PaSaporTEKs of passengers to ensure that the names in the manifest correspond to the actual passengers as stated. Once they pass inspection, the PaSaporTEKs are stamped by the marshal in charge.
Those who do not pass inspection can still enjoy in the NSTW festivities but do not count in the PaSaporTEK point tally. The validated PaSaporTEK manifests shall be tallied and presented to EK representatives after the NSTW
Tour operators originating from Quezon City and the cities of Caloocan, Malabon, Marikina, Navotas, and Valenzuela are encouraged to visit the QC Science Community at PAGASA Science Garden, Agham Rod, QC. Those coming from Manila and Pasay City may visit the Manila Science Community at the SM MOA Atrium in Pasay City. Those coming from Pateros and the municipalities of Binan and San Pedro in Laguna, and the cities of Las Pinas, Makati, Mandaluyong, Muntinlupa, Paranaque, Pasig, San Juan, and Taguig may proceed to the Bicutan Science Community at the DOST Complex, Bicutan, Taguig City. Those coming from municipalities in Laguna not stated above will visit the Los Banos Science Community at PCAARRD, Los Banos, Laguna.
Every NSTW visitor brought by a participating tour operator shall be awarded 1 point, except on NSTW Opening Day (July 25th), where it will be awarded 1.5 points. At the end of the NSTW, the STII, together with EK representatives, will poll the participating tour operators and the number of their NSTW visitor points earned.
For every one thousand (1,000) cumulative points, a tour operator will receive one (1) STARBOOKS unit to be donated to the school of their choice. Every multiple of 1,000 visitors entitles the tour operator one (1) STARBOOKS unit for donation. In addition, he/she will be awarded a Plaque of Recognition jointly signed by STII and EK.
If tour operator exceeds the thousandth mark, the figure will be rounded out to the lower thousandth figure. This rule shall apply even if the said figure is closer to the next thousandth mark.
The Awarding of the STARBOOKS unit/s will be undertaken at a reasonable time after the NSTW.
