2021 science week celebration banners 1st PH Sci-Math Battle
In celebration of the 2021 National Science and Technology Week (NSTW), with the theme “Agham at Teknolohiya: Tugon sa Hamon ng Panahon”, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and the Philippine Science High School System (PSHSS) will present the first ever NSTW Sci-Math Battle.
The Sci-Math Battle, a virtual event happening on the 27th of November, aims to develop grade school students’ interest in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and to encourage them to excel in their studies, with the hope that they will eventually apply for a scholarship at the Philippine Science High School System.
The NSTW Sci-Math Battle, an online quiz bee to be held live via Zoom, is a competition covering topics in Grade 4 Science and Mathematics. It will also cover topics on current events / emerging technologies. The competition will be divided into three rounds - Easy, Average, and Difficult.
Endorsed by the Department of Education, the 16 regional winners from the regional competitions conducted by the PSHS campuses who obtain the highest scores in their cluster will advance in the final round during the NSTW Sci-Math Battle.
